How about we... go on an actual date? And I did (Sponsored Post)

A few days ago, I had my first date from HowAboutWe.com. We had planned to meet at this fun little beer place in Brooklyn (one of his dates) but when we got there it was totally packed. Don’t worry, they don’t take reservations.

I was completely bummed. Partially because I have been on those dates where plans are foiled. You end up wandering around the neighborhood until one of you or both of you gets bored. Then you head your separate ways and you go home to eat old Chinese takeout and drink wine. It’s so not fun.

But, I found that there’s actually a great thing about the site that helps in this very situation -- you have a whole list of date ideas already thought up. Translation? If your first date falls through, it’s really easy to move on to another.

We ended up at one of his favorite spots in Brooklyn (one of my date suggestions) where we sat and had a few beers. So, not only did I have a pretty decent date but I also found a new spot to check out in Brooklyn. Totally a bonus for me.

I also have another date scheduled in a couple of days. So I can’t complain there at all.

One of the things that I really like about site is that it’s really helping me to learn things about the city. So even if I don’t end up finding the man of my dreams, I am still getting out, meeting people and learning new things. That’s all a part of dating and being social. And when you have just moved a new city, it’s great.

But even if you aren’t new to your city, I am sure there would be a few people who suggest things you’ve never been to or always wanted to try. In fact, you could even suggest being a tourist for a day.

And, remember, as a part of this promotion, HowAboutWe.com is offering a one month free trial to all my readers, fans and followers. To take advantage of this offer, just use the code: FallDating.

So give it a try (no really, just do it), what do you have to lose?
